JOHN ‘SOONER’ NAKAMURA, of Coaldale, AB, passed away suddenly in Lethbridge on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at the age of 71 years. John is survived by his son Clayton (Kerry) Nakamura and their children Megan, Nick and Carter, of Spruce Grove, AB; his son Richard Nakamura of Lethbridge; his daughter Charmaine Nakamura of Airdrie, AB; and their mother Ruby Nakamura of Airdrie, AB. John is also survived by his brother Bud Nakamura of Whitehorse, YK; his sisters Mary (Su) Yamamoto of Winnipeg, MB; his sister Mina Nakamura of Japan; and by his nieces and nephews and their families. John was born in Matsqui, B.C. in 1937 and moved to southern Alberta with his family. John started farming later and worked in road construction until retiring in 2000. A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. with Major Brian Beveridge officiating.
