Judith Van Dellen

Send a Tribute

Judith was predeceased by her husband Roger (1993) and her daughter Karen (2009).

Judith was predeceased by her husband Roger (1993) and her daughter Karen (2009).

She is survived by her son Forbes (Yvonne) and their three children, Michele (Richard) and their three children, Troy and his three children, Jason (Beth-Anna) and their three children; her daughter Sheryl (Gene) and their four children, Rebecca (Darren) and their four children, Kristin (Mark) and their three children; Jodi; and Jonathan (Rayleen). Judith is also survived by Karen’s three children, Charity and her three children, Joshua (Cindy) and their three children, and Dallas (Nancy) and their five children.

She leaves behind 27 great-grandchildren, and was beloved by all of her nieces and nephews.

Judy was a faithful member of the Claresholm Pentecostal Assembly where she taught Sunday School for 30 continuous years and had the privilege of having all of her 10 grandchildren attend her class.

Judy taught school before she married. She was very particular about spelling and punctuation. She was one of the very few who could tell you the rules for the use of “me” vs. “I.” Her desk was filled with books of completed crossword puzzles up to her final year.

She farmed with Roger east of Claresholm for all her farming life.

Mom/Gram/Aunt Judy had interest in people particularly, her immediate family and extended family. She had amassed a century of knowledge. Judy knew everyone’s birthdates and wedding anniversaries from memory. She regularly sent out birthday cards to grandchildren and great-grandchildren. When we were unsure of a person’s date of birth, we just had to consult her and we got the correct answer every time.

She prayed regularly for all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on September 20, 2024 at the ONE LIFE CHURCH—501 40 Street South, Lethbridge, AB with Reverend Gary Taitinger officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Blessing the Children Million Meals Project in care of Rick & Sheila Lamb. To donate please call 403-439-0596 or email giving@blessingthechildren.ca.

To all families, your mom, grandmother, great gramma, what a history she has left you all. Couldn’t believe when I read 102. She looked fantastic at Pats memorial as everyone spoke to her. She has left many memories for all of you.
