ISABEL BEATRICE KATONA (nee SIMON), beloved wife of the late Paul Katona of Lethbridge, passed away at the St. Michael's Care Centre, Palliative Care Unit on May 10, 2021 at the age of 95 years.
ISABEL BEATRICE KATONA (nee SIMON), beloved wife of the late Paul Katona of Lethbridge, passed away at the St. Michael's Care Centre, Palliative Care Unit on May 10, 2021 at the age of 95 years.
Isabel was the only child of Joseph and Matilda Simon and was raised in the Drumheller Valley. It was there that she eventually met then married her husband Paul on May 6, 1944. Up until Paul's passing they had lived a wonderful life together for 72 years. They are reunited once more with God and her parents.
Isabel will be missed but never forgotten.
A private Graveside Service will be held at St.Patrick's Cemetery, Lethbridge, AB where she will be laid to rest with her husband.

Isabel and her husband were good friends with Peggy and Bill Taylor, Debbie's parents. Peg and Isabel loved to chat by phone or visit when they were both healthy, and they all shared a lot of tales of growing up in a rural setting during the 30s and 40s. An end of an era in that all 4 have passed away - but will not be forgotten!! God bless them all!
Isabel will always be remembered as a kind and forever-giving- friend - the ones who are the hardest to find. ?
