It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of BILL KRYSAK SR. of Lethbridge, AB, formerly of Warner, AB, at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the age of 94 years.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of BILL KRYSAK SR. of Lethbridge, AB, formerly of Warner, AB, at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the age of 94 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Sylvia, and his six children: Bill Jr. (Gail) of Lethbridge, AB, grandchildren Lawrence (Stacy) and Stevin (Cynthia) and great-grandchildren Sawyer, Finn and Andrew (Courtney); George (Carole-Lee) of Lethbridge, AB, step-daughters Veronica and Angela; Theresa (Starley) Culler of Medicine Hat, AB, grandchild Jennifer (Jamie) Jones, great-grandchildren Jaxon, Jaelyn and Jason Culler and great-grandchildren Cameron and Cayden; Kathy of Saskatoon, SK; Geraldine of Saskatoon, SK; Chris (Amy) of Lethbridge, AB and grandson Ryan.
He is also survived by his brothers, Napoleon and Peter, and his sister, Helen Parchoma, along with their families and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Katherine, his brothers, Walter and Eugene, his sisters, Ann and Mary and his in-laws, Bill and Slawka Senkus.
Bill was born and raised in Krydor, SK. At the age of 19, he was conscripted into the Canadian Army on December 17, 1943 and served as a Gunner and was stationed in Britain. After the war, he served with the Occupational Forces in Belgium, Holland, Germany and France. He returned to Canada and received an honourable discharge on June 6, 1946. Upon his return, he eventually moved to Prince Albert, SK where he spent most of his career as a Parts Manager. Later on, he moved to Allan, SK then to Warner, AB where he worked for Madge Equipment in Milk River, AB before finishing his career at Roydale International in Milk River, AB.
Upon retirement in 1989, he spent a great deal of his time fishing and bowling until the age of 91. It wasn't until one year later that he discontinued his real passion - golf - at the incredible age of 92.
A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Rodger Halvorson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Bill's family requests that donations be made to Jack Ady Cancer Centre, c/o Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation: 960 - 19 Street South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 1W5, or to a charity of your choice.
