GEORGE A. LATWAT passed away peacefully at home on November 1, 2018. George was a quiet, kind, 'soft touch' sentimental guy, who kept all his troubles to himself.
Born in Kr?pelin, Germany to Lithuanian parents, the family arrived in Canada in June of 1951. They travelled west to Welling AB, where they settled and worked in the 'sugar beets'. His parents later bought an acreage in Lethbridge, just below what is now known as the Sugar Bowl.
George was a journeyman carpenter and ran his own construction business from 1973 - 2009, building one of the first homes in West Lethbridge.
Left to miss him dearly are his wife Pat, son Malcolm, daughter Debb (Geoff), brother Ed (Terry), as well as many nieces, nephews and in-laws. George is predeceased by his parents, George and Meta, his in-laws Archie and Lucy Cameron, and his brothers Fred and Richard.
George requested that his family and friends get together to have fun and celebrate his life, so we invite you to enjoy a luncheon and share your favourite stories and memories of George at a gathering that will take place at his home on Saturday, November 10th, 2018, starting at 1:00 P.M.
