MR. ROBERT "BOB" LAWRENCE of Lethbridge passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the age of 70 years.
He is survived by his loving friend Isobel Lawrence, son Jason (Andrea), daughter Kristy (Cory) and grandchildren Marko (Tatiana) and Acelynn.
He was predeceased by his father Wilson "Scrappy", mother Lyla and brothers Donald and Douglas.
Bob was born January 6, 1950 in Thessalon, Ont. In 1973, he married Isobel and shortly after, moved to Edmonton, where they would have two children. Bob moved his family to Lethbridge in 1978 and then Coaldale in 1993 while working for Lilydale Foods until its closing in 2001. Bob then worked at Maple Leaf Pork until 2010, at which time he would suffer a stroke. Bob never let this hold him back and would prove many wrong by walking and driving again. He even went as far as taking up curling where he met many new friends. Bob spent the better part of his last year living at Black Rock Terrace in Lethbridge, where he absolutely loved the staff and other residents. It seems wherever he was, he would always leave quite an impression.
Today Bob would have turned 71, so with heavy hearts, we would like to wish him a very Happy Birthday.
At his request, there will be no funeral service. Cremation and private celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Great guy! Knew Bob through curling, which he took up after his stroke. Had to admire his courage and perseverance. And when the called the teams you would be glad you were with Bob because you knew that his rocks would help build the end in your favour. Always nice to have coffee and visit with Bob with his thoughtful optimism and quiet humour. My condolences to the family. It is a sad loss for sure.
First I'd like to say that my heart goes out to all of his family and friends. I know today will be particularly hard as it's his birthday but please know that he would not want you crying tears of sadness, he would want you to smile and laugh. To enjoy his life and not focus on his death, although that is an impossible task. Honour him by celebrating him and the memories you have made with him. Bob was such an amazing man, I always enjoyed chatting with him whenever I saw him. He was always great for a laugh and had a knack for cheering you up if you were upset. He always had a smile on his face and a kind thing to say. I know that his suffering is now over and his pain is gone but now it's the hearts of so many who are hurting. Rest in peace Bob.
So Sorry for your loss of your Loved one . I knew and met Bob through Isobel . She always had such kind and nice things to say about their life together . Some experiences that provided chuckles also . I witnessed Bob give his best at the 9th St. YMCA on the machines after his stroke too . Recently saw him many times on his electric wheelchair scooting around the Galt Museum Parking Lot . Bob was quite the character ! He left behind memories for sure and will be missed . Cherish your memories of him with love and fondness . Happy * Heavenly * Birthday Bob . With my Sincere Sympathy to you All .
You will be greatly missed, our coffee friend, Mr Bob from your coffee group of friends from Coaldale, Alberta. Our Lord is with you now and you are now in a better place, my friend.
