LILLIAN 'LIL' HEGLAND, of Lethbridge, passed away at the St. Michael's Palliative Care Centre on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the age of 88 years.

LILLIAN 'LIL' HEGLAND, of Lethbridge, passed away at the St. Michael's Palliative Care Centre on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the age of 88 years.
Lil is survived by her children; Harold (Pat) Hegland, Carol (Joe) Karl, and Sandi Hegland. Her grandchildren; Ashley (Nancy) Hegland, Jackson (Jennifer) Hegland, Bradley (Sara) Park, Scott (Leanne) Park` and Danny McMann. Her Great grandchildren; Waverley Hegland, Grady and Ella Hegland, Carter, Caris and Macie Park, Dorian and Lukas Park. Lil is also survived by Betty Pitt, Kay Pitt (sister in laws) and Roy Frig (brother in law)
Lil was predeceased by her first husband Gustav Hegland (1974) and her second husband Fred Preston, her sisters Kathleen Poch, Dorothy Welsh, Betty Frig, her brothers Cyril, Clarence, Alfred and Bill Pitt.
A Celebration of Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME - 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. with Deacon Frank Peta officiating.
A Graveside Service will be held in the spring of 2015.

Sincere sympathy on the passing of Lil......such a lovely,friendly and interesting lady. Have shared several coffees at MacDonald's with good visits and conversation about her family, her doggy, her new apartment, and about the Hurricanes (often looked for her across the rink).... Miss her smile and her optimism. Shall remember her with the above, as I heard a couple months ago that her health had deteriorated and that she had moved. Mothers are special people and her family will miss her greatly.

We are so sad to hear of Auntie Lil's death. She was a special aunt to us and although we didn't see her often it was always great to visit with her. She was quick-witted and spoke her mind and for that we loved her. We share in your grief and extend our deepest sympathy.
