It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our Dad, Linus Gerald Boire on February 5th, 2024 at his home in Campbell River, BC.

Linus was born to parents George and Hilda Boire on October 30th, 1965 in Estevan Saskatchewan. Linus was the youngest of eight children.

Linus dedicated much of his life to the oil and gas industry, leaving his mark as a skilled professional and respected leader. Beginning his career as a driller, Linus’s journey in the oilfield spanned decades. He eventually established his own consulting company, Chevco Consulting

His expertise and work ethic took him to various corners of the globe. He undertook notable assignments in Saudi Arabia and Nunavut; however, it was in the heart of Alberta where he left his greatest mark.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Linus embraced his life with an adventurous spirit. His lifestyle was characterized by constant movement and exploration. His motorcycle was his faithful companion on many of these journeys, carrying him through winding roads and open highways creating long-lasting memories.

He possessed a rare gift for finding humor in almost every situation, effortlessly lighting up the room with his infectious laughter and goofy antics. He possessed a unique ability to not sweat the small stuff and approached life with a lighthearted demeanor.

Linus is predeceased by his father, George Boire, and brother, Norman Boire.
