JUDY ANN LONG TIME SQUIRREL, of the Blood Reserve, passed away suddenly at home, on Monday, January 4, 2016 at the age of 48 years.
JUDY ANN LONG TIME SQUIRREL, of the Blood Reserve, passed away suddenly at home, on Monday, January 4, 2016 at the age of 48 years.
Judy Ann Long Time Squirrel was born in Lethbridge Municipal Hospital on January 11, 1968 and passed away at home on Monday, January 4, 2016 at the age of 47 years.
Judy was a very outgoing lady. In her younger years, she loved her sports. She was very athletic in track and Field as a long distance runner, sprinter and a high Jumper. She also enjoyed playing baseball and had a passion for fancy dancing. Judy was very happy when she got to go on trips to Las Vegas, Disneyland and into B.C.
Judy was always there to help people with whatever she could do, especially the elderly. Judy was very family oriented and loved her children very much. Every chance she got she was talking about what she wished for them. She also loved her siblings very much. After the passing of their parents, the Mistaken Chief family took them in and Steve and Elsie treated them as their own.
Judy was predeceased by her parents George and Helen Long Time Squirrel, adopted parents Steve and Elsie Mistaken Chief, sister Donna, brother Newton and niece baby Donna, paternal grandparents George and Antonia and maternal grandparents Mike Steele Sr. and Nellie Eagle Child.
Judy is survived by her children Billy Jean Long Time Squirrel, Elton Long Time Squirrel, Mariah Long Time Squirrel, siblings Antonio (Janet) Long TIme Squirrel, Barry George (Cindy) Long Time Squirrel, Shelly (Paul) Long Time Squirrel, Serphine Black Face, Bonitta Long Time Squirrel, Lenord Le'hirondelle, Adonis (Tomas), Holly and John Old Shoes (Annie Crazy Boy), Sam Red Crow, Martin Eagle Child, Dan Ealge Child, Thomas Eagle Child as well as her great nieces and nephews.
A Visitation & Family Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB, on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. with Pastor Rocky Brave Rock officiating.
A Wake will be held at OLD SAIPOYI SCHOOL, Blood Reserve, AB, on Monday, January 11, 2016, starting at 7:00 P.M. and continuing all night.
The Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at ST. MARY'S IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, Blood Reserve, AB, on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Pawel Andrasz, O.M.I., Celebrant.
Interment to follow at St. Catherine's Cemetery, Blood Reserve, AB.
In memory of and in respect for Judy, the family would appreciate no consumption of alcoholic beverages before or during the services.

I am so saddened and heartbroken to hear of my high school friends' passing...I offer my deepest and heartfelt condolences to her children, grand children, family, friends & loved ones...I will miss you and your silly stories until we meet again fly high with the angels and you are now safe in the arms of Jesus.
