Lotte was born in Germany and immigrated in 1952 with her loving husband, along with other family members and friends.
They started a new life in Canada where they worked hard and were grateful for all they accomplished.
Our Mom was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had unconditional love for her family and spent as much time as she could with her family, whether it was baking, playing games, babysitting or having sleepovers with the children; Oma loved them all.
Mom loved the Lord and participated in many bible studies and church activities.
She also loved her flower garden and spent countless hours tending to her plants and flowers. Her garden was a colourful masterpiece enjoyed by many.
Lotte is survived by her five children: Janet Ainscough (Laurier Krumps), Susan (David) Riehl, Norman (Denise) Stein, Roger (Darlene) Stein and Christine (Bob) Stockton. She is also survived by her brother Horst and brother-in-law Walter, nieces and nephews; and her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her!
A Celebration of Lotte’s Life will be held at IMMANUEL LUTHERAN CHURCH - #20 Rocky Mountain Blvd. West, Lethbridge, AB on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Lee Loveridge officiating.
The service will be live streamed and may be viewed through Lotte’s obituary on the Cornerstone website.
A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery, where Lotte will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church (immanuellutheran.ca)

Sending condolences to your family. I really appreciated having a conversation with Susan about choosing a care facility when my dad George Mann, was discharged from the Chinook Regional hospital in September. Although a bed at Legacy Lodge was not offered to my dad, the information that was shared was very helpful.
Janet, thinking of you and the entire family. God's peace and comfort be with you always.
Our deepest condolences to Norm, Denise, Emna, and Mason, and all of the Stein Family during this difficult time - thoughts and prayers are with you all!
Sending our deepest sympathies to Janet , Kristen , Jeff and Matt and the rest of the family. Lotte “ Oma” was a beautiful soul . May you all find comfort in the loving memories that you will share together and hold them close to your heart. Condolences & Many blessings from The Hacker Family
Lotte was such a lovley lady--full of vim and vinegar, opinions, and faith. I remember having tea with her several times when she was still in her home and getting the full garden tour each time! She is now home with her Lord. How wonderful. Her earthy journey complete, new life begun.
We are sorry to hear about the passing of a very special person. May the loving memories she created with her family and friends be small consolation at this time of loss. Janet, Gabrielle and Dan
Sending my heartfelt condolences to Janet Ainscough and family. Thinking of you and wishing you peace during this difficult time.
I just want to offer my deepest condolences to each of you in the passing of your beautiful mom, grandmother and great grand grandmother. I always enjoyed seeing her each month at the Lethbridge Christian Women’s Suppers and later at Martha’s House. She always had a smile and brought such joy to everyone around her.
So very sorry to have heard about your Mother's passing. We send our sincere condolences.
