ELIZABETH "PENNY" ELSIE MANSON

It is with great sadness and warm memories that the family of Penny Manson announces her passing on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at the age of 83 years.

She is survived by her son Mike (Crystal); son-in-law Brent Reynolds; grandchildren Haylee Pierson (Brody), Joel Manson, Mercedes Thurber (Matt); Nico Reynolds (Melody); great-grandchildren Sawyer and Beckham Pierson, and Eleanor Thurber, and sister-in-law Joan Evans.

Penny was predeceased by her husband, Robert (Bob) Manson, her beloved daughter Karen Reynolds; parents Mona and Pete Evans; sister Barbara Purvis, and brother Bob Evans.

Penny was born on November 29, 1937, in Sudbury, Ontario. She attended Sudbury High School, and graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Sudbury General Hospital.

Penny followed her husband Bob, living in Calgary, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Toronto, and finally settling in Lethbridge, AB. She was a very outgoing and social person, belonging to several bridge clubs, loved reading, travelling the world, playing canasta, spending time with her wonderful dogs, and being part of the golf scene. She was on both the provincial and national Canadian Ladies Golf Association boards, including two years as President of the Alberta Ladies Golf Association.

Penny loved her family dearly, and will be lovingly remembered by them.

Due to Covid-19, a private Graveside Service will be held.

Our family would like to thank everyone who was part of Penny's life. She truly appreciated her family and wonderful group of friends.

It was such a pleasure to know Penny through golf and bridge. Her passion for life was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Penny will be greatly missed.
