Marinko, Bruno

BRUNO MARINKO, beloved husband of Blanka Marinko, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family who will strive to honour his memory, at St. Michael's Health Centre Palliative Care Unit, at the age of 69 years, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Bruno was born in Labin, Croatia and moved to Canada in 1967 with his family. Bruno and Blanka were married on January 21, 1971 and enjoyed 51 years of marriage. They had two daughters, Jennifer and Laura, whom he was very proud of both.

Bruno worked in the masonry trades for 40 years and started his own business, Titan Masonry, which he ran with his family since 2007.

Bruno enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the grandkids. He was an active member of the Canadian Croatian Club, where he made many lifetime friends.

Besides his loving wife Blanka, Bruno will be sorely missed by his daughter Jennifer (Ernie) Howe and children Brooklynn, Scarlett and Layla, daughter Laura (Jason) Driver and children Elias Vold and Leo Driver, sister Ellie Marinko Mensinger (Duane Gailing) and son Anthony Mensinger, nephew Cameron Marinko and niece Stacy Marinko.

He is predeceased by his father Anton Marinko, mother Josipa Marinko, and brothers Robert and John Marinko.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 - 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. with Father William Monis officiating.
