Martin is lovingly remembered by his children: Darlene McColl, Allan Plesko, and Doris (Jules) Regout; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Adele and several family members.

Born in Czechoslovakia, Martin came to Canada in 1935, settling near Coaldale. He was a hardworking farmer who also enjoyed mechanics and welding, always ready to lend a helping hand. Martin was deeply involved in his church and community. He loved traveling, flying (especially his quick day trips), and spending time with his family.

In 1954, he married Adele Boss, and together they raised three children.

In 1998, Martin and Adele moved to Lethbridge, where they embraced their retirement years and continued to enjoy time with family, friends, and their community.

Martin was a very warm and outgoing person who easily engaged people in conversation. He was truly a friend to everyone! He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 1:00 P.M.

He was a wonderful uncle. He was fun loving, so good to his family, and was greatly loved by all. He will always hold a special place in our hearts. See you soon uncle Martin. Love you so very much.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Martin and Addel were like second parents to me as we grew close at the time when Martin had a farm accident and I in my teens worked the land, looked after cattle, helped with seeding and irrigation on the beet crops. In all we became very close and I will always hold the love relationship had for each other very dearly.

My prayers are with your families

Mavis Couper, April 19, 2025

My condolences to your family on the loss of your Dad. I only knew him from The View. I used to visit with him in the lobby when I would see you him getting his mail. My thoughts are with you all.
