Grum graced the world with her presence on May 16th, 1946 in Empress Alberta. She lived on the Bishoff family farm as well at the convent in Prelate Saskatchewan. Together with her family, she travelled and sang, music was simply part of her soul.
In 1968 Mom married our Dad, and in the following years, their four children were born. Our childhood was full of baseball, hockey, and soccer… but camping and fishing were where the best memories were made! We’re sure this is where her deep love for the mountains and rivers began. In 2006 our parents bought Mom’s Heaven on Earth, their cabin sweet cabin. Through the years she transformed this cabin into her “place of peace”.
The best years of her life were when her grandchildren arrived. Mom turned into Grum, the sweetest, fun, no-rules human that ever did exist. Oh, how her Grandchildren love their Grum. Their galivanting will be missed sending many Lethbridge and Crowsnest Pass business’ reeling.
Faith! Her love for the mountains is fitting as her faith & love of family were exactly like them! Undeniable, steadfast, strong, constant, and at times breathtaking.
Prayers will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825-32 Street South, Lethbridge, on Friday, August 16th, at 7:00 P.M., with Deacon Jim Manzara officiating.
A Funeral Mass will be held at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, on Saturday, August 17th, at 10:00 A.M., with Father Kevin Tumback as Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery. Following the interment, everyone is welcome to the church hall for a time of fellowship & refreshments.
