Matthew Thys
THYS MATT THYS passed away peacefully on Friday, August 31st at the age of 75 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Trudy, daughters Catherine and Marianne, godson Mark Waage (Sharlene) and their boys, granddaughter Julia, niece Terry Noss (Don), brother Jack Thys (Janice), sister Mary Camp (Hank), sister-in-law Lisa Waage(John) and brother-in-law Helmut Waage (Jan) and other numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Theodore, father, Theodore and mother, Theresa. Matt’s love of life and people touched the lives of all those who knew him. His unique sense of humor, contagious laugh and joy of life will live on after him. He had a natural ear for music and played many different instruments, entertaining many over the years. He will be greatly missed. At Matt’s request, there will be a private family gathering to celebrate his life.

I thought of you, Cathy - do you remember me? We were penfriends and I came to visit you from San Francisco in 1978 or 79? I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing.
