CASEY DONALD MICK was the youngest of four, born on March 13th, 1968 in Calgary, Alberta, to parents Damarice "Carolyn" (née Heath) and Robert "Lorne".
In 1978, the Micks relocated to their hog farm near Innisfail, where Casey lived and worked into adulthood. When the farm was sold and the family dispersed between 1999 and 2001, Casey pursued a career in electrical, eventually earning his Master Electrician certification. While working as a tradesman, he perhaps most enjoyed his time as a safety officer, overseeing various crews on a number of worksites. Casey loved travelling and meeting new people, and all in his circle can attest to his capacity for generosity, helpfulness, good humour, and his easygoing demeanour. Casey was always in the middle of any number of handy projects. In recent months, he was most excited to have finished building a customized workshop in his backyard in Picture Butte, with the help of long-time family friend Mark, which would have been a perfect space for bringing his many hobbies and ideas to life. Casey passed away on December 13th, 2021 in Lethbridge, in the presence of family and loved ones. He is predeceased by his "Irish twin" sister Heather, father Lorne, and large family of beloved Siberian huskies. He is survived by his mother Carolyn, eldest siblings Robert and Janeal, niece Erin, and much adored dogs Saphie and Gibson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Harry Watson Memorial Dog Park (Picture Butte, AB) for the installation of a water fountain. The dog park had become a cherished part of Casey's daily life, and its upkeep and improvement were of great importance to him. A service will be held for Casey on Tuesday, December 28th at 1:00pm in Picture Butte, by invitation. Others who wish to view the service may tune in for the livestream - the link to access the livestream will be posted here on Cornerstone's website that morning.

I will always remember Casey's laugh. He, David and I had a wonderful trip to Las Vegas some time ago now. He will be forever remembered for his generous heart.
What a great guy. So proud that he was my cousin. I know he and his family and friends enjoyed so many great times in beautiful Alberta, as well as on their trips to Texas.
Had some damn good times back in the day Casey!! When you weren't giving me a hard time you had me rolling in laughter! Even though its been such a long time, the memories are like yesterday. You will always be remembered in our hearts. RIP my friend!
Rest in Paradise Casey. My deepest condolences to Carolyn and family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
I only knew Casey since last Christmas when he came to visit Mark, but it was very clear to me how dear he held his friends, how loyal he was to family, how much love he had for his dogs, and how sweet, kind and considerate he was. He always let me know immediately how much he appreciated our time together, whether in person or otherwise. My heart goes out to all of you. May each day become easier than the one before during this most difficult of times.

You will be missed by many. Your smile, and your big heart was so welcoming in this crazy world we live in. It was such a pleasure to have met you, and Gibson as well. Thank you for always being so amazing, and kind hearted. Until we meet again friend.
Casey, that ever present twinkle in your eyes and your laughter you brought to every conversation was you willingly sharing yourself with those you dearly cared, but didn't deny anyone else either. Your friendship and life meant so much to two great men in my life - my two Brothers, and I will forever be indebted to you for that. We won't get to talk this Christmas Day, and I was looking forward to that. You met many, you will be missed by all.
You will be missed and we were blessed to know you thank you for that
