Besides his loving wife Joanne, Murray is survived by Sarah Margaret Johnson, Jacob David Sibbet (James Sibbet), and Zachary Malcolm Sibbet, all of Lethbridge.

He was predeceased by his father, Elmer Johnson; mother, Helen Johnson; and brother, Ron Johnson.

Murray loved tinkering with vintage cars and tractors, and was know as quite a collector, often approaching a family member with “This guy is selling………” Among his favorites were the 57 Chevy Bel Aire, 78 Chev pickup, 1929 Model A and any form of Camaro. Searching for deals was a huge pastime.

Though Murray spent many years in the IT industry, he loved kicking around on the farm, talking to anyone that would listen about hay, irrigation and crop management. DIY house renovation projects often filled his time during winter months.

Visiting Disney with Sarah and the boys were some of his greatest memories. Sharing those experiences with family and being on the farm were truly his happiest places.

The family will be holding a small private ceremony.

In memory of Murray, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.

I will cherish the times we spent together forever. Particularly the hours we spent driving to and from the Calgary Airport. He lived a interesting and fulfilling life.
