Neufeldt, Anne

Send a Tribute

On May 20, 2017, God granted our mother, ANNE NEUFELDT, her wish and took her to her heavenly home. Mom passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital at the age of 92 years with family by her side. She follows her husband Jake who was waiting to greet her. Others she looked forward to seeing again were her parents, all of her siblings, and many friends and loved ones whose lives she enriched with her love.

Anne came to Canada as an infant with her parents and siblings in 1926, settled in Coaldale, and was married to Jake Neufeldt for 66 years. Together they raised four children, Doreen (Duncan) Lloyd, Leona (Ron) Born, Dennis Neufeldt (Helen Henderson) and Norma (Les) Neufeld; six grandchildren, Darren Lloyd (Charlotte Haig), Brent (Felicia) Lloyd, Jason (Titia) Born, Carleen (Brad) Shauer, Leanne (Rob) Dyck and Carissa Neufeld (Michael Skinner); and great-grandchildren, Grace, Emily, Graham, Lindsay, Malcolm, Everett, Payton, Travis, Caleb, Kendra, Adriana, Malia, Colin, Ewan and Faye.

She volunteered many hours in the community and in the church. Hospitality was one of her many gifts. Family and friends were always welcome in their home for coffee and home baking. She leaves our family with a legacy of prayer and deep faith in God.

A Visitation will be held at the COALDALE MENNONITE CHURCH, 2316 - 17 Street, Coaldale, AB, on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M.

Thinking of you Doreen and family at this time of sorrow. Ann was a very special lady and I am happy I got to know her. She is going to be missed by so many, especially Martha as they were such good friends. Take care. Kim????

Kim Feldman (hca), May 24, 2017

We have such fond memories of the hospitality and kindness we enjoyed at Aunt Annie and Uncle Jake's home over the years. We are reminded of a term from previous times:"the old saints of the church". This could be an apt description of Aunt Annie. Her death marks the passing of this generation of the Gossen family. She will be missed!

Don & Pauline Gossen, May 24, 2017

This seems so sudden after seeing Anne recently looking her usual cheerful self. She was a great neighbor for many years and good member of the community. We know so many relatives and our thoughts are with all.
