It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of a brother, son, uncle, nephew & cousin,ALVIN MARK NORTH PEIGANon Friday, March 18th, 2016 at the age of 55 years in Calgary.

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of a brother, son, uncle, nephew & cousin, ALVIN MARK NORTH PEIGAN on Friday, March 18th, 2016 at the age of 55 years in Calgary.

He will be sadly missed by his mother Catherine Crow Eagle, his siblings; Merle Van Loon, Geoff (Mildred) Crow Eagle, Harriet, Mervin (Marie), Caroline (Dan), Adam (Lena), and Gerald North Peigan, Aunts Louise English and Juliana North Peigan and special cousin Charles Red Young Man.

Alvin was predeceased by his father John North Peigan (1992), siblings; Barbara (infant), John Jr. (1982), Cathy (2005), Winston (2006), Perry (2011), grandparents; Charlie and Alice Crow Eagle, Victor and Nora North Peigan.

In Alvin's younger years while attending Crowsnest Consolidated High School he excelled in playing basketball and in most tournaments was voted Most Valuable Player (MVP). Alvin had an uncanny sense of humour and had a welcoming smile that brought calmness to those he met.

A Wake service be held at ST. PAUL'S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH in Brocket on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M.

A Funeral Service will be held at ST. PAUL'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, Brocket, AB on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Roy Jayamaha, officiating.

Interment to follow in the Brocket Cemetery.

I work at Pathways to Housing and wanted to pass on my sympathy to Alvin's family. He often mentioned how much his family meant to him. He was a survivor but I feel he is at peace now.
