DAN OPEL, beloved husband of Susan Opel, passed away suddenly at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at the age of 63 years.
DAN OPEL, beloved husband of Susan Opel, passed away suddenly at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at the age of 63 years.
A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.

So sorry to hear about your loss. I have alot of good memories working with Dan. So shocked and saddened to hear of Dan's passing.
Dan was a great guy, an awesome mentor and a great ambassador for the sport of Benchrest. We'll all miss him very much! From his many friends in the BC Benchrest community: Gord Dale, Mark DuMont, Vlad Kahle, Paul Koivukoski, Allan Mantler, Wally McDonald, Jim McFarland, Joe Mendham, Greg Mowat, Frank Oblak, Ray Parkin and Aubrey White.
Sue and family: We are deeply saddened by Dan's passing. He was a kind-hearted and generous soul and very dear friend. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with all who loved him. Sue, we are here for you.
Sue, it was with a shock that we received the news of the passing of Dan, what a painful loss! Dan was defiantly one of the "Good Guys". Kindly accept our deepest sympathy.
Our condolences Sue. Dan was such a great man and we so enjoyed our visits. He was so knowledgeable, friendly, had a great sense of humour and his camaraderie with Jeff will be missed deeply. We will always have a smile on our faces, in memory, every time we clean our guns.

I was sorry to hear of Dan passing away. I didn't see him often, but he always had a smile and a kind word. I'll miss him.
A pleasant man, a friend to all, a sterling competitor who enjoyed serving the shooting fraternity as an roving ambassador and promoter of our sport.
