GAYLE PATRICIA PARK, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the South Health Campus in Calgary on February 19, 2023 at the age of 72 years.

She was born November 25, 1950 in Lethbridge, Alberta to Joseph and Norma Pieschuk. At the young age of 11 months old Gayle lost her paternal father, and was adopted a few short years later, by Peter Matisz. Gayle is pre-deceased by her parents Peter and Norma Matisz.

Gayle is survived by her children Danielle (Brent) Bilodeau of Lethbridge, and Jeff (Crystal) Park of Calgary, as well as her five grandchildren: Alyssa, Jaxon, Luca, Matteo, and Pryce. Gayle is also survived by her two siblings Ken (Karen) Matisz of Saskatoon, SK and Marlene (Ed) Krajewksi of Lethbridge, as well as four nieces and one nephew.

Gayle lived in Lethbridge her entire life. Following high school, Gayle went to school in Calgary to become a nurse's aide. Gayle worked as a nurse's aide until the birth of her first child. Shortly after, Gayle went to work at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital, initially as a Lab Clerk but later as a Booking Clerk, until her retirement in 2015.

She loved to read, do word puzzles, get her nails done, shop, and go out for meals with friends and family. Gayle's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved greatly. She would split her time between Lethbridge and Calgary so she could spend time with all her grandchildren. They will miss their Nanny Gayle and GiGi immensely.

A Visitation will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 - 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 11:30 AM officiated by Pat Siedlecki. 

A Graveside Service will be held at ROYAL VIEW CEMETERY, 5920 - 13 Street North, Lethbridge, AB,  on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM officiated by Pat Siedlecki.
