LUIGI 'GINO' PASQUOTTI, of Lethbridge, Alberta, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at the age of 81 years.

LUIGI 'GINO' PASQUOTTI, of Lethbridge, Alberta, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at the age of 81 years.

He was born on Sept 5, 1940, in Pola, Italy. Luigi and his family came to Canada, landing in New Brunswick in 1952, making their way west to eventually settle in Lethbridge.

Luigi married Marlene (Zahn) on January 8, 1966, his loving wife of 55 years who together with they raised their family.  Luigi is survived by his three sons, Dino (Theresa), Mario (Pam), Rino (Dana) and daughter Gina (Sandor). Luigi also leaves behind nine grandchildren: Dario, Matteo, Nico, Nathan, Alexandra, Libby, Dante, Dion, Wynn and Marcus. He predeceased his sister Luciana and brother Ezio Pasquotti.

Luigi was a hard-working, honest and successful business owner.  He began his own commercial electrical company called Southern Alberta Electrical Craftsman, which later became known as Pioneer Electric. He worked as a commercial electrician for over 40 years but the commercial warehouse he envisioned, initiated and eventually went on to build in 1989, was one of his most proud accomplishments.  A proud provider for his wife and kids, Luigi instilled in all of them a strong work ethic.

Luigi found great joy in watching his kids and grandkids succeed in their individual pursuits and was often one of the most boisterous and passionate fans in attendance.

After battling cancer for two years, Luigi passed away at St. Michael's Health Centre - Palliative Care Unit.  He was always the head of the household and tried to maintain strength for his family, right to the end.

The Prayer Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 - 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. with Sharon Hagel officiating.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 - 12 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. with Father Kevin Tumback celebrating. Kindly RSVP your attendance to Cornerstone at 403-381-7777 or care@cornerstonefh.ca  The Prayer Service and Funeral Mass will be livestreamed and may be accessed via Luigi's obituary on the Cornerstone website at their respective times.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Luigi's name to Jack Ady Cancer Centre, c/o Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation (crhfoundation.ca).
