PATRICIA MARY BROOKS, beloved wife of the lateMickey Brooks, passed away on September 2, 2014 at the age of 83 years.

PATRICIA MARY BROOKS, beloved wife of the late Mickey Brooks, passed away on September 2, 2014 at the age of 83 years.

"Pat" was the loving mother of Michelle Walker, Valerie (Junji) Kuno, Bruce and Tom (Colleen) Brooks and grandmother to 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was a loving sister to her brother Tom Yates and an aunt to a large and loving extended family.

Pat was predeceased by her husband Mickey, her son Bill, her great-grandson Jacob Anthony, her parents Harold and Ethel Yates, her brothers Bill and Richard Yates and her sister-in-law Midge Yates.

Pat will always be remembered by all who knew her. She loved children and was happiest with a baby on her knee; of both her own children and grandchildren and the many children she helped care for over the years. Pat and Mickey's house was always open, the coffee pot on and the cookies made. The house was small but so full of love that there was always room for one more.

Mom's faith was very important to her and this helped so much as she coped with the difficult times.

Mom, "We look forward to seeing you again in heaven".

Relatives and friends are invited to a Prayer Service at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME - 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, on Friday, September 5th, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. with Reverend Andrew Horne officiating.

A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME on Saturday, September 6th, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Andrew Horne officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat's honour may be made to St. Augustine's Building Fund for wheelchair accessibility.

Hello ... I just heard about Pat. Please accept my sympathies and my extension of care and prayer for your family at the loss of your Mom. I remember her fondly - always so kind and so gracious. In particular, my mother - Mary Staker, just found out about the your loss, and the loss of dear, life long friend. My Mom is quite heartbroken and asked me to extend her love and care to you as well. Unfortunately Mary's health is not good and she is unable to travel to attend the services. She will be there in spirit. with care, Sue.

Susan Staker, September 5, 2014

As a good friend of Bills when we were growing up, we frequently stopped in to pick Bill up as we were always going somewhere. Both of Bill's parents were always so kind to us. Pat was always busy with what seemed like a never ending amount of kids running around. But she always made time to say hello, talk to us for a minute, ask us how we were, and of course offer us cookies. One of the kindest and friendliest people you would know. For me it's easy to see why Bill was so well liked. My sympathies go out to Pat's family and friends, I know you will miss her dearly.
