In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Richard and daughter Elaine (Brock); grandchildren: Ashley (Jeff), Austin, Kaitlyn (Matthew) and great-grandchildren: Jake, Beckham and Octavia.

Patrick is also survived by his sister Bernadette (Neil), and nephews John (and family), Tim and Don (and family), as well as many extended family members across Canada, the USA and England.

He was pre-deceased by his parents John and Kathleen (nee Hickey), infant brother George and various aunts, uncles and cousins.

Patrick was born in Rossland, BC and came to Lethbridge at the age of four. He attended five different catholic schools before graduating from St. Francis Boys School.

Patrick was employed at the Lethbridge Herald for 35 ½ years, the majority of his time there was as an assistant circulation manager. His main focus was accounting for the department. After retirement, Pat continued employment with Carline Mufflers and Silver Automotive.

Pat was active as a volunteer throughout the community. He served twenty-seven years with St. Patrick’s Credit Union, 25 years as treasurer with the Lethbridge Soccer Association (a life member and defacto Chargers Club tour guide), and 25 years with the Alberta Genealogical Society (17 years as treasurer). Patrick also served as Exalted Ruler of Picture Butte Elks #268, and Chief Ranger Independent Order of Foresters Lethbridge Branch. Pat was active with both The Canadian Legion #4 Branch and the Knights of Columbus. He also called bingo with the Lethbridge 60 PWS Club.

Patrick’s gentle nature, loyalty, and unmatched acceptance of all was a true gift. Forever loved, forever remembered.

A Prayer Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME – 2825 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB on Monday, August 12, 2024 at 7:00 P.M. with Sharon Hagel officiating.

Service details updated A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH – 2405 12 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB, on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 4:00 P.M. with Father Santiago Torres celebrating.
