KENT ARVID JOHN PEDERSEN, beloved son of Linda Pedersen and Bent Pedersen (Barb Vos) and loving brother to Tami Pedersen, passed away surrounded by family, on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the age of 39 years, due to complications sustained in a pedestrian accident.Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister Tami, nieces Ashley and Brynley, great nephews Greyson and Eastyn, grandmother Henny Pedersen, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins as well as his special four legged friend, Lexi.Kent was born on February 29, 1976 at St. Michael's Hospital in Lethbridge. He attended Our Lady of the Assumption School, St. Francis Junior High, Catholic Central High School and Lethbridge College.Kent filled his days with sports, friends, Facebook, many hugs and Coca-Cola. He truly lived his life. Kent was a proud team member of the Integrated Bowling League and looked forward to Friday night games and seeking out the highest score. Kent was an avid collector of team jerseys and proudly displayed all 45 of them... most of them Oilers, many of them signed. He loved to play Uno with his friends and had many intense games of Mental Blox with family, especially Grumpy. Kent loved music, karaoke nights, playing Sega and of course, pushing people in the pool. Kent loved his family and friends; late night / early morning text messages were not uncommon. There was never a dull moment at family events and holidays with Kent's speeches, jokes, and never ending picture taking. He was the Edmonton Oilers biggest fan and loved the Toronto Blue Jays just as much. He found as much joy listening to games on the radio or watching on TV as he did sitting in the stands; which he was fortunate enough to do on many occasions.Kent was a huge part of the Lethbridge community through his work at PEAK Vocational Services, SAIPA and countless hours of volunteering his time.He will be greatly missed and is forever in our hearts.A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 11:30 A.M. with Deacon Cliff Bogdan officiating.Cremation to follow.

It seems like yesterday that your little boy was making Marsha and I smile as he determinedly showed us with his cheeky grin that he would tackle any obstacle that was presented to him. Dear Linda and family. My heart goes out to all of you. I never realized how much Kent had accomplished in life and how many hearts he touched. He always seemed to happy, confident, and friendly. Bent, Linda, Tammy and family, I so wish I could have been there today to honor my friends life. Words just can't express my sympathies for you all. Kent was one amazing guy and I am so blessed to have had him in my life since we were little gippers. I'm going to miss him. Take care and biggest hugs to you all!

I am very sorry for your loss. Kent was a regular passenger on my bus route and he always had humorous stories to tell. I am a big Oiler fan too so we shared many Oiler stories. I will miss Kent's big smile. My deepest sympathy to your family.

It has been many years since I saw Kent last, but he is impossible to forget. I still remember our joking arguments about the Oilers and Flames we had in high school. (He always won) Kent is an amazing person and the world is better because of his time here. My heart is with all of his family and friends.

Linda, Bent and Tami; I shed a few tears when I heard of Kent's accident and passing. He was such a gentle, sweet, and happy soul. It was an honor to have known him. I know you will miss him tremendously and I am sorry for that. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
