It is hard to imagine a world without Jose, a gentle "giant" of a man, who refused to be defined or limited by his physical stature. We are so glad that Darlene and Jose found each other and had many happy years together. The harder life got, the more Jose blessed and encouraged everyone around him. Consumed by grief at the loss of a child - the hardest thing a parent could ever have to endure, Jose stood on a chair to hug our oldest son, making us all laugh and feel loved in the midst of our pain. Hard working, dependable, kind and gentle, positive and encouraging, with a great sense of humour. We were truly blessed to know you, Jose and already miss you more than words can say.

I will forever miss your wise heart, your playful spirit and your intelligent mind. You have left an indelible mark on my soul. May you always know how deeply you were loved, dear one. May each member of your family take solace in all of those beautiful memories of you and may your spirit flow within each one each and every day hence.
