It is with great sadness we announce the passing of EUGENE (GENO) RERON, beloved husband of Susan Reron. Eugene was born on December 13, 1951 in Lethbridge, AB and passed away peacefully at Chinook Regional Hospital on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at the age of 68 years, with Susan by his side.
Eugene and Susan were high school sweethearts who married on April 22, 1972. Eugene was a loving dad to Keith (Mikhail) Reron and Renee (Geoff) Halma and an amazing Papa to Jaelyn and Avery Halma and Rhett and Autumn Reron. He was predeceased by his infant son Adam, father Felix Reron and mother-in-law Florence Wilson.
Left to mourn his loss is his mother Alexandra Reron, sister Mary (Jim) Nesbit and brothers Henry (Julie) Reron and Richard (Wendy) Reron, as well as, nieces and nephews Lilly Reron, Cory (Joe) Sawchuk, Jon (Flory) Reron, Tawny (Rick) Dere, Dusty (Chantel) Reron, Sabrina Nesbit (Jason), Shanda McKnight (Ken), and Trina (Kim) Tymko and his many great nieces and nephews.
To my Uncle,
One who never grew old;
His smile was made of sunshine;
And his heart was solid gold. (Jon Reron)
Eugene was an auto mechanic for most of his life and he loved "tinkering" in his garage. He was an avid fisherman, camper, and gardener. He had the biggest heart and would not hesitate to help anyone in need whether known to him or not. Being a kid at heart, all kids were drawn to Eugene because they knew he would be the one to start the rough housing (at times much to the annoyance to Susan) or hand out candy or money to ALL kids—big or small. Eugene was a beloved character by those who knew him as he was easy going and loved to joke around.
We would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and staff on 5A for the care and compassion during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to donate to your local food bank to help those in need to get through the COVID-19 crisis.
Due to the present circumstances, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. You will always be forever in our hearts. Love you and miss you already!!!

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Geno's passing. I knew Geno many years ago when I was living in Lethbridge and a member of the L.P.S. Geno was one of the good guys who had a great sense of humor and a heart of pure gold. My heartfelt sympathy and sincerest condolences to his wife and to his family.
So sorry for your loss.
