It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of ROBERT "BOB" HUESKEN, who passed away at the Edmonton General Hospital on Friday, October 10, 2014 at the age of 62 years, after a brave and courageous battle with cancer.Bob was a hard working man throughout his whole life, but at the end of the day he was a husband, father, and grandfather and his top priority was his family.Nothing brought Bob more joy than his three grandchildren and his dog Yogi. In recent months, he got to enjoy all their company daily -- laughing, teasing, and cuddling.Bob is survived by his wife Florence, daughter Diana (Matt) Fenwick, son Adam (Laura), and grandchildren Cam, Josh, and Abby. He was predeceased by his parents Herman and Minnie. He will be missed dearly.A Memorial Reception will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME - 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, Alberta, on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.

Florence, Adam and Diana and Families: I am saddened for all of you ... your husband, father, and grandfather - was a man who loved life ... and his brightness lit the room. Never a day went by that you weren't welcome in the "Huesken" Home and the tea pot on. I will miss him ... and his presence. Diana - as an only daughter, I know only too well what a father's love is for his baby girl - and your love for him in return. May you be comforted by the fact that -so much of him, I see in you - and always have. He lives on in you. Adam, your dad was proud of you - when he spoke of you - you could see the pride of a father for his son. I know you will do the same for your kids. Lastly - Florence - may you find comfort in your memories of the wonderful family you and Bob raised. Although the last months have been difficult, never doubt the love he had for you - and for the kids. Take care of you. May he rest in peace. Lori
