Rob was a true testament of standing up for what you believe in and always said, “I am just saying what people really think.”
Rob moved to the Yukon in the late 1970s and worked in the trades as a professional drywall finisher throughout the territory. Rob had a 29 year career with the Whitehorse Fire Department and was humble but truly proud to be a firefighter. He loved to be in the outdoors, whether flying planes, boating, or fishing. In his retirement, Rob enjoyed watching rodeos in Alberta and strumming old time country music on his guitar. He and Paula also enjoyed many car shows in southern Alberta. He took much pride in his 1968 Mustang and later, his 1955 Chevy Pickup.
He was a loving husband, a great father and a friend to many.
The family wishes to extend our deepest gratitude for the care Rob received from the ICU nurses and doctors at Chinook Regional Hospital.
At Rob’s request, there will be no service. Cremation entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home in Lethbridge, AB.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Whitehorse Firefighter’s Charitable Society (afterthefireisout.com)

Deepest condolences to his wife, families & friends! Prayers to all
Rob and I worked together in the early 80’s. We quickly became friends. We worked in all parts of the Yukon doing drywall. He was a hard worker, honest and loyal friend. He taught me a trade and made work fun. He will be missed.
I am saddened to hear of Rob's passing. He was a dedicated member of the Whitehorse Fire Department and I had the hoour of working with him throughout his career. He was a dedicated member of the Department. He was an excellent firefighter as well as dedicating his time to improve the working conditions and contracts for the membership.
