Barbara Rombough, beloved wife of Roger Rombough, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the age of 70 years.
Barb was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Lily and James White on December 6, 1947. She had 7 siblings Mae, George, Eileen, Edith, Margaret, Dorothy and James.
Barb completed her nursing school in Winnipeg and worked for a short time as an LPN at the Children's Hospital before moving to Lethbridge in 1971.
Once in Lethbridge she met the love of her life Roger and they were married on September 29, 1973 and subsequently had 3 children.
Barb worked at the Lethbridge Regional hospital starting on the paediatric ward and worked on multiple floors before retiring after 39 years in her final posting at Community Health.
Barb had a love for family and the time spent with her children and grandchildren. Every child and grandchild got their own unique name and always knew they had a special place. Since retiring Barb and Roger spent some time travelling to Mexico and were there only a few weeks ago for a 2 week visit with her sister Mae and extended family. A trip they were especially thankful for this year.
Even up until the time of her passing she never lost her sense of humour and her will to fight. She left, the way she lived, on her own agenda and surrounded by the love of family.
She is predeceased by her parents, her brother George and her sister Margaret
Besides Barbara's loving husband of 44 years Roger, she is survived by her children: Jennifer Rombough, Lindsey (Neill) O'Grady and Ian (Heidi) Rombough. Also left to cherish her memory are her five beautiful grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Taylor, T.J., Addyson and Ashton. She is also survived by a large extended family, too numerous to mention.
A Come and Go Reception will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB, on Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., with a family tribute at 3:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Barbara, donations may be made to the Jack Ady Cancer Centre: 960 19 Street South, Lethbridge, AB. T1J 1W5.

I'm so sorry to hear about Barb's passing. She was so kind to me when Tracy passed and she gave me her phone number if I needed to talk. What a sweetheart she was. She will be missed and she was loved.
I worked with Barb for many years on 3A at the hospital. She was a wonderful person and a very good nurse. My condolences to the family.
So sorry to hear about Barb. She was a wonderful neighbour and appreciated all she did for us. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May God comfort you and sustain you in the days ahead.
Wishing you peace at this difficult time. I remember how generous Barb (and Lindsey, (and Jennifer, Ian and Roger)) were toward my grandmother, Anne Nastiuk. Your family lived next door and were always available to help with the "little" things as well as the big things. You were there every day but I especially remember reaching out to you after by brother's accident - you were there to support her in Lethbridge while we were busy in ICU in Calgary. I am grateful beyond words for your presence and compassion. Thank you. Dayla and family.
Jennifer and Kaitlyn,My thoughts and prayers to you and the family.
We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to you Roger and family in the loss of your wonderful Wife and Mother. Please know that we are thinking of you at this time with the Best of Regards.
Roger and family, so very sorry for your loss. Barb was one of the first LPN's I worked with in the old Municipal Hospital. She was a great nurse with an infectious sense of humor that made working when "Rambo" was on, just a little more fun. Rest in peace Barb
