Ron had a love for watching old comedy movies like “The Three Stooges” and series like “MASH” with friends and delighted in sharing his love of model vehicles and old cars. Ron also enjoyed his time going for breakfast and coffee with his many friends. Ron enjoyed his camping trips with the extended family. Being involved with folk music with his friends was one of his passions but riding his motorcycle, (alone or with friends and family) and teaching his family members that love, was his main passion. It was his alternate love to the very end. To his friends and family, Ron was grumpy with a sense of humor, loyal and caring.
At Ron’s request, no funeral will be held. A Celebration of Ron’s life for friends will be announced at a later date. Cremation entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home.
Rest in Peace, my Love.

Just found this obituary and am saddened. I had the pleasure to work with Ron for three years learning from him the skill of drafting and design. We became friends. He made me laugh even when he was grumpy. I used to secretly shut the gas line off on his bike so when he left work it would quit down the road and we'd laugh about it the next day. I'll miss the guy, he was awesome. Condolences to the family and rest in peace Ron.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences to you, the Westling family. There are so many memories of Ron that I cannot put my finger on just one. Seeing him at both Folk music and family gatherings through the years are at the forefront of my memories of him. But most importantly is that Ron will be fondly remembered in the many memories of family and friend circles through the years to come. Rest in peace Ron. Maureen Furtado
Hi Lilian I just want to say Sorry about your loss
Know the family through 5 pin bowling. He will be missed.
Lillian, I am so sorry for your loss my condolences. Thought and prayers to you and your family during this difficult time.
Lillian, I am so sorry for your loss. I always liked Ron and being a motorcycle and car enthusiast myself often saw him at events around Lethbridge. He would ride his Gold Wing up to Bragg Creek, often with Sheila, and stop at my store for an ice cream. His easy laugh will be missed by all who knew him.
