We are so sorry to hear about your dad. Our thoughts and prayers for peace and comfort during this difficult time for your family. Your dad was a wonderful kind person. I had fun riding in the van to school some winter mornings when he would offer a ride to Evelyn and I.
I was able to view the service today and what a wonderful tribute to your dad! I so enjoyed seeing the images and hearing your recollections, touching and heartfelt. One memory I have is going over to visit Uncle Dirk one evening when you still lived on the farm in Picture Butte. I was feeling so full of anxiety over my math homework and unable to understand how to approach the problems and my mom was at a loss and thought he would be the one who could help. Uncle Dirk patiently helped me and I don't remember ever having that level of anxiety over math homework again. May your memories and all that he invested in you give you strength and comfort.
Condolences to all of you. I have good memories of being on the farm with uncle Dirk and also visiting your home when we were all much younger.
The God of all comfort be with you.

We extend our deepest sympathies during this time. We think of the good times and of Uncle Dirk holding his dearly missed sons. Until we can be together again in glory. May he rest in peace. Love, Elsaby (Brian, Gerome, & Malcolm) Johnstone
Gecondoleerd, ook de rest van de familie, met het overlijden van echtgenoot, vader en opa; en sterkte in deze dagen van afscheid. Ooit gaan we elkaar weer ontmoeten. My condolences, also to the rest of the family, on the death of husband, father and grandfather; and strength in these days of farewell. We will meet again someday.
So sorry to hear of Uncle Dirk's passing. Our condolences to the family
