The world lost a beloved mother and friend, Della Marie Schwengler, 75, of Lethbridge, Alberta entered Heaven's Gates June 15, 2021, with her family by her side.
The world lost a beloved mother and friend, Della Marie Schwengler, 75, of Lethbridge, Alberta entered Heaven's Gates June 15, 2021, with her family by her side.
She is survived by her children and grandchildren, who made up the entirety of her world.
Della was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. Della loved spending her time in the kitchen and sewing beautiful clothing for her grandchildren.
Della was a fighter and she never stopped fighting. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Della. Just because she is no longer here, it doesn't mean she lost her fight.

I was so sorry to hear of Della's passing. I enjoyed working with her at Hudson's Bay. She was a hard worker and had a great sense of humor with a great laugh. She was very kind to her customers and the staff. We had missed her since she retired. My condolences to her family.

I remember Della as a teenager. I looked up to her and wished that I could be more outgoing like she was. I had not seen her for many years, but remember her passion for life. Condolences to the family.

My sympathy to Della's family. I often thought of Della, and remembered the fun times we had growing up together as children. I am sorry to have lost touch with her. It is always sad when we procrastinate about reaching out and then there is no longer opportunity to do so. I believe Della will be at peace in heaven and be reunited with her sister Caroline who will welcome her and comfort her. Blessings to all the family.
