Frances Irene Barker was born May 4, 1924 in High River, Alberta to Francis (Frank) and Nellie Barker of Cayley, Alberta. She passed away in Lethbridge, Alberta on Friday, January 7, 2022 at the age of 97.

Frances married Shirley Seely in Calgary in 1942. They had a family of six children. Frances is survived by her daughters, May (Hugh) McKinnon of Penhold, AB., Louella Seely of Lethbridge, Nita (David) Workman of Malad City, Idaho, Mary (Bryan) Eldredge of Sandy Utah and son, Merlin (Susan) Seely of Drayton Valley, AB., 28 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Doris Barker of Whitehorse, Yukon and other extended family.
Frances was predeceased by her parents, husband Shirley Seely, daughter LaVern Tanner, son-in-law Larry Seely, five grandsons, two great-grandsons, her sister Winnifred Jones, brother Jim Barker and her long-time partner Clayton Sims.
There will be a family service and cremains will be interred in the Cayley, Alberta Cemetery with her father and sister at a later date.
