Sorry to hear of Ed's passing. We first knew him from Shur Gain and later as a fellow parishioner. Although we didn't run into him often we considered him a friend. When we did meet outside of church he always had a bright smile and encouraging words. His devotion to Edith was very obvious. He will be greatly missed.

Peter & Karen Verwer, May 5, 2023

Dear Edith and family, We are very sorry to hear of Oom Ed passing away. Our thoughts are with you all. Oom Ed and our mother, Rita, were cousins. They were growing up together as children. Our mother had always lots of lovely stories about that time. We also have fond memories of oom Ed and tante Edith when they used to visit family in Holland. Always a laugh and a smile! Thinking of you on Friday. Love, Simon and Hanneke Evelyn and Rob Liesbeth and Nigel Rudolf and Alice + family

I am the son of Rietje (Rita) Nijenhuis from Scheveningen / the Hague, the Netherlands. My mother was Ed's niece. I called him oom Ed and as a child I loved it when he came to visit all the way from Canada. My mother always told of the adventures she and Ed undertook as kids in Loosduinen and Scheveningen. Our condolances to the family, Rudolf en Alice Arndt.
