GEORGE FRASER SPENCE, of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Friday, December 19th, 2014 at the age of 86 years.George is survived by his son Wayne (Susan) of Duncan, B.C.; his daughter Charlene (Erik) Thomsen of Lethbridge, 5 grandchildren; Jason Arnold, Kimberley (Rob) Laidlaw, Greg Spence, Carmen (Nathan) Wilson, Sherry Spence, 5 great grandchildren; Zoey Spence, Blaze Wilson, Payton Laidlaw, Dawson Laidlaw, and Brevin Laidlaw.He is also survived by two brothers; Gordon (Yvette) of Winnipeg, Gerald (Bev) of Lethbridge, one sister Vivian (Bob) of Fort Mojave, Arizona, and many nieces and Nephews.George is predeceased by his parents James and Arvilla Spence, sister Audrey Sekulich, brother-in-law Jack Sekulich and brother Dennis Spence.He cherished his family, and time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.George loved his sports, "a true Saskatchewan Roughrider Fan" and was a great supporter of the Lethbridge Hurricanes and loved his weekly coffee with his brother Gerald.He will be sadly missed by family and friends.A private family interment will take place at a later date in Archmount Cemetery.

On behalf of our mother Ann, who spent many wonderful years as George's friend, confidant and companion, we would like to extend our condolences to George's family. He was a special person in all our lives, and will be dearly missed. He was always a kind and gentle man who shared many laughs and tears with the Marte family. We love you Geo.
