It is with great sadness that I received this news. My prayers are with you my friends. May you find comfort in the loving support of all those around, near and far. God bless.
Dear Larry and family, I am so sorry for your loss and know you will miss Barbara terribly. My thoughts and prayers are with you and I send you hugs. Echo
To Larry and all your wonderful boys and their families, especially "Gerald" who so embraced Barb's love and family values that included him. My deepest sympathy to each and everyone at this difficult time.
Our most heart felt condolences on the passing of such a wonderful lady. I remember she helped plan a bridal shower for me when Bernny and I got married and always made me feel welcome into the St. Ambrose Family and the community. She was so kind and welcoming with her very calm and soothing voice and her smile. May you keep her in your hearts and think of her often with all the love possible. We keep all of you in our prayers - Bernny and Sandi
Please accept our condolences. Although we were not fortunate enough to have known Barb, we feel like we know a lot about her because we know Garry and Jim. Barb will reap the rewards of her labour in this life as the fruits of it are everlasting. We will meet her at the table of the Eucharist at each Mass we attend. May all of the Speiss family know peace and comfort at this time.
David, I was sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family.
David and family, my thoughts are with you at this time. -Tim

Thoughts and prayers. I would see your mother and father at least once a year. From those chats it was easy to tell how very proud she was of all of you. I will miss her and those catch-up chats. Your friend Fuj
May you all be comforted in knowing your loved one may well be in the divine presence of our Lord. The prayers of the Calgary Diocesan Council of the Catholic Women's League of Canada go out to the family left behind as they begin their grief journey. Loving God, You promised fullness of joy to those who seek Your face. Trusting in Your Word, we pray to You, for our sister, Barbara who sought to further Your reign on earth by her service in the Catholic Women's League "For God and Canada." Though we are saddened that she is no longer with us, we entrust her to You with confidence. May she now live in peace, joy and happiness. We ask this in the name of Jesus and our Patroness, Our Lady of Good Council. We are sorry for your loss. I have many great memories of times spent at the Spiess farm with all the bridge kids. Your mom made everyone feel so welcome. The last time I went for lunch with the birthday ladies, she was telling so proudly her stories of kids and grandkids. Her family was her greatest joy. You will all have many great memories of your time together. Deepest sympathies to Larry and God's blessings to you all. Sandra
Glenn, Gary, Dan and David, so sad to hear of your mother's passing. May God comfort you at this time as he has taken Barbara Ann into his presence until you all can be reunited again.
My deepest sympathies to everyone in the Spiess family. How blessed you - and all of us - have been to have had this remarkable lady as part of our lives. At every turn, for both family and friends, she brought us such joy and great good humour, all of which was grounded in her indomitable faith. I kept her photo on my "heroes wall" in my high school classroom for years and always told my students, "When I grow up, I want to be Barb Spiess". I know for certain that her legacy of faith and generosity of spirit will continue to inspire so many to follow in her footsteps...
Our deepest sympathies at the passing of your wife, mother and grandma. God bless you all at this time.
Larry im so sorry for your loss! I had the pleasure of working with Barbara at Luckys Bingo for many years! She was a kind and gentle woman and her dedication to Birthright was amazing! She will be missed! My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this time. Colleen De Casmaker
