DOROTHY JOAN STROEVE, beloved wife of Ben Stroeve, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the age of 89 years.
Besides her husband Ben, Dorothy is survived by her brother Bob (Joan), Ben's brothers, sisters, in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, brother Jack, in-laws Herman, Jerry, Diane, Hank Lohues, and John Slenders.
Dorothy met the love of her life in 1971 and they were married on November 10, 1973.
Dorothy was known for her love of shopping, especially with her friend Mary and sister-in-law Elizabeth, as well as collecting knick knacks and mowing her lawn, which was her pride and joy. She was a long time CWL member and liked to visit the elderly and shut ins.
She was a real farm wife, bringing lunch out to the field, helping with beet harvest and driving the combine at harvest time. Dorothy was always so proud of her "Bernie" when they went to all the Charolais cattle shows
Ben and Dorothy made many annual trips to New Mexico until declining health kept them close to home. Dorothy's love of all things south western was evident in their home as she proudly displayed her many treasures.
Dorothy loved her family and all of her nieces and nephews, especially the ones "on the farm". She had a special place in her heart for her goddaughter Tanya.
