It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of CHRIS TANIGUCHI, who died peacefully in her sleep with family by her side, at St. Michael's Health Centre - Palliative Care Unit on Monday December 24, 2018 at the age of 60 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Ryan Span & Cody (Ashley) Span of Raymond, grandchildren Ryland, Maysen & Olyvia, her son, Landon Span (Julie Johnson) of Taber and grandchildren Cole & Natalie Span.

Chris will be dearly missed by her sister Peggy (Don) Kenyon of Coaldale, nephews Jason (Kerri) Kenyon of New York, Kira & Carter, Jeremey (Larissa) Kenyon of Coaldale, Isabelle & Branson, Jamie (Jessica) Kenyon of Coaldale and Lucas & Gabriel, as well as her special friend, Christina Mooney of Imperial, SK and her dog, Nikki.

Chris was predeceased by her parents, Bill & June Taniguchi, aunts and uncles, Grace & Bunk Odagaki, Ruth & Gord Laurie, Sally & Yagi Kaga, Tom Kaga, Tad Koyanagi and Sammy Sameshima, cousins Keith Kaga, Carol Kaga and Craig Odagaki, as well as her grandparents on the Konno and Taniguchi side of the family.

Chris was born and raised in Taber. She moved to Imperial, SK where she lived for the past 12 years.

Chris was an avid golfer in her younger days, representing Alberta in the Junior Girls National Championship. She enjoyed teaching golf lessons and won many tournaments in Alberta. She was also an avid fisherman and loved nature. In the past 12 years of Chris' life, she found herself at peace. She planted an amazing garden each year and would share the vegetables and raspberries she had harvested.

We would like to send a special thank you to Dr. John Geers of Coaldale for his excellent care, the nurses in Palliative Care for their kindness and caring and to all the family and friends that made numerous trips to visit Chris. She enjoyed the visits greatly.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Lois Punton officiating.

If wished, donations to St. Michael's Health Centre - Palliative Care Unit would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
