DOREEN LILLIAN TAYLOR passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the age of 90 years.
DOREEN LILLIAN TAYLOR passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the age of 90 years.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Karen Argento of Lethbridge and Greg Gerla of Calgary; grandson, Connor Gerla of Calgary; sisters, Elaine (Tom) Livingston and Carol London as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, extended family and friends.
Doreen was predeceased by her son Michael, parents, Donna and Russell Lawrence as well as partners, Bob Murray, Carl Taylor and John Gerla.
Doreen was a loving daughter, sister, partner, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time outdoors and especially enjoyed playing golf. Doreen was a wonderful artist and poet and will be dearly missed.

May I always strive to reach a higher plane
But treading softly as I go
So as to cause no hurt or pain to those I know
May I extend a helping hand
To one less fortunate than I
As in this troubled world I stand
Amid the hue and cry
May I always have a cheerful voice
And laughter on my face

My dearest condolence to the family especially Karen. I met Doreen thru darts at Nordbridge and she always had so much love to share with us. Will truly miss her and my heart felt prayers for Karen.
We always enjoyed time spent with Doreen. Beautiful person with a kind and gentle spirit. Our condolences to Karen and Greg.
Doreen was a member of our writing group called, Mind Joggers. When she wasn't heading South, you could find her on Thursday mornings at the Nord-Bridge Senior Centre with her writing companions. We loved to her stories and poems. Whenever she would share one that was close to her heart, which was every week, she would tear up and at times could not get through it. We'd make sure that a box of tissues would be in front of her when it was her time to read the article she wrote. We loved her and her absence will be noticed when our writing group meets again. Two of her other writing companions have left their places beside her as well. May God bless Doreen's family and friends at this sad time.
