MCpl. Edgar C Taylor - Sept. 4, 1934 - May 20, 2021

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear father, husband, brother, grandpa, uncle and friend, EDGAR CECIL TAYLOR, aged 86 yrs. of Lethbridge, AB.

Edgar is survived by his children: Kathy (Gordon) Mackie of Edmonton, AB, son Robert Taylor of Lethbridge, AB, Laurie (Stephen) Driscoll of Lethbridge, AB and Shelley Taylor of Lethbridge. Edgar has three grandchildren: Alexandria Mackie, Carter Mackie (Edmonton) and Jordan Driscoll (Lethbridge). He is also survived by sister Marcia (Woody) Worden of Apple River, NS and brother Paul (Helen) Elderkin of Halifax, NS.

Edgar was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years, Myrna B Taylor (Lethbridge AB), his Father Cecil Taylor (Advocate, NS) and Mother Hilda Elderkin also of Advocate, NS.

Our father grew up on the shores of Advocate Harbor in Apple River, NS. He joined the RCAF in 1952 and soon met and married our dear mother, Myrna. The family traveled across Canada, stationed in CFB Rockcliffe- Ottawa, ON and CFB Cold Lake, AB, before retiring from RCAF in 1980 and residing in Lethbridge, AB. Ed continued to work after retirement for many years at Alpha Dairy. Edgar enjoyed golfing, gardening and visiting his friends at the Royal Canadian Legion where he loved to play pool.

Edgar will be dearly missed by family friends, Stan & Pat McGowan of Evansburg, AB. Stan and Ed served many years together in the RCAF and remained close friends.

The Taylor family would also like to thank Tammy Demers for your continued friendship with our father, visiting dad every two weeks to cut that hair! He loved your visits, thank you for being so devoted. Another huge thank you to the awesome staff at St. Michael's Health Centre - 2nd West for the wonderful care you gave our Dad.

A private ceremony will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021, where Dad will be laid to rest in the Field of Honor, Mountain View Cemetery.

I'd like to offer my deepest sympathy to each of you in the passing of your dad. I also worked with your mom at the TD Bank for many years with your mom and got the opportunity to meet some of you! My heart goes out to you all!
