TONY VAN LEUKEN, beloved husband of the late Lorraine van Leuken, passed away peacefully with family at his side at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Monday, October 2, 2023 at the age of 90 years old.

Tony is survived by his children: Karen (Mark) Fisher, Gerry (Trudy) van Leuken, Michael (Cathy) van Leuken, Marty van Leuken and Carleen (Jim) Rous.  He leaves behind nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and his sisters Agnes Craik and Anita Berlin.

Besides his loving wife of 62 years, Lorraine, he was predeceased by his parents Martin and Maria van Leuken; and siblings: "Doc" van Leuken, Cay Travalia and John van Leuken.

Tony was born, raised and educated in Lethbridge.  After a short career as a commercial pilot, he went on to pursue a career in the automotive industry.  He purchased King Chrysler Dodge in 1975.  The business was relocated to 5 Avenue North as Mountview Dodge Chrysler with Tony as the dealer principle.  The business continued to be his passion until he retired in 1999.

Both Tony and Lorraine loved to travel.  They travelled extensively with their motorcoach in both Canada and the US.   Winters were spent at their favorite spot, Maui.

Tony and Lorraine were silent donors to many causes.  They were particularly proud to have sponsored a number of post-secondary students experiencing financial hardship.

Tony was a dedicated family man.  He leaves behind a legacy of generosity and kindness.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alberta SPCA (albertqaspca.org)
