Vernon Gauntly
VERNON ARDEN GAUNTLY beloved husband of the late Betty Gauntly of Lethbridge, passed away at home on Monday, March 10, 2008 at the age of 74 years. He is survived by his sisters; Esther Goerzen of Calgary, Evelyn (Irvine) Pickering of Lethbridge, Eleanor Stephenson of Lethbridge and Shirley Fander of Lacombe, brothers Gordon, Robert (Alice), Leroy (Judy) of Lethbridge and Clarence (Diana) of Strath Roy, Ontario, nephews Ray (Michelle) Pickering and two great nephews Kyle and Kristopher Pickering who lived with Vernon for 17 years. He is also survived by many more nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Betty and his parents, Walter and Elizabeth. Vernon loved his nephews and enjoyed going for bike rides, helping the boys fix their bikes and building tree houses for them. He loved it when they went camping with Ray, Michelle and the boys to the Magrath Campground where he enjoyed fishing with the boys. A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Larry Hankinson officiating. No flowers by request, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
