WALTER MULDER, of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Carrie Mulder, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday March 13, 2024 at the age of 65 years.

Besides his loving wife, Carrie, of nearly 43 years, Walter is survived by his son Evan Mulder (Angela) and daughters Jacinda (Kyle) Mulder and Anna-Maria Schoof; his siblings: Wilma Mulder, Betsy (Cees) Timmer, John (Janet) Mulder, Gert (Bethsie) Mulder, Hans (Gerrie) Mulder, Henk (Virginia) Mulder, Bert (Jackie) Mulder, Joke (Dirk-Jan) van Maren, Margaret Van Der Heide, Herman (Adrie) Mulder, Dries (Gera) Mulder, Ria (Dirk) Pomp and Alie van Meerten.

Born and raised in Veenendaal, NL, Walter moved to Canada when he was 17 with his parents, Wouter and Hermina Mulder, and 11 of his 13 siblings. Walter made a life for himself in Canada. He was employed by Lethbridge Truck Terminals for more than 20 years. He’s proud of that employment and the friends he made.

Walter also had a passion for trains and loved to travel. Even though Walter didn’t get to travel often, he truly loved to do it. Almost as much has he loved planning and creating the very detailed itineraries for the trips. His most recent excursion being to Nova Scotia by train.

Trains and travel aside, Walter’s true loves, and most important to him, were his six grandchildren: Anneka, Kayden, Hailey, Kylie, Carson and Parker. They truly brought out the best in their Opa.
