JEAN WASYLISHEN (CHALMERS), of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the age of 87 years.
JEAN WASYLISHEN (CHALMERS), of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the age of 87 years.
Jean is survived by her husband Paul Thibault, her three daughters Loretta (Victor) Saly of Edmonton, Judy (Don) Chervinski of Lethbridge, and Sheila (Herman) OldeHeuvel of Brooks. Jean is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren Jason and Tracy Saly (Jenna), Reagan and Brian Young (Nathan, Alex and Shelby), David Chervinski, Alisa and Chris Beddome (Eva and Liv), Tara and Jeremy Shand (Deegan and Kavanaugh), as well as her sister in-laws Eunice (John) Molden and Betty Chalmers.
Jean was predeceased by her husband Stan Wasylishen, her three sisters May, Margaret and Lily and her brother Keith.
Jean was born to Lily and George Chalmers on September 21, 1929, in Primate, Saskatchewan. She was raised in Clandonald, AB until she met Stan, and they started a family of their own in Lethbridge, AB.
Jean was an active member of the First United Church in Lethbridge, AB for over 65 years where she met and surrounded herself with lifelong friends. Her sense of humour, strength and kind heart will be forever cherished by the family she now watches over.
A Celebration of Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 52800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, Alberta, on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Eva Stanley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to STARS Air Ambulance, 1441 Aviation Park NE, Box 570, Calgary, AB T1H 8M7.

Your Mom was a great lady and we know you will miss her terribly but just remember that she is now reunited with those that have gone before her.
