What a lovely man he was, so patient with all of us as we agonized over our selection of penny candy. Never a harsh word. I send my condolences and a hello to Christine - it's been decades... Linda
God Bless you it was good knowing you
So sorry for your loss, I loved my little visits with Leslie in cottage 3. One thing that never wavered for Leslie was his love for you Janet and his family. He always made me smile with his singing. Thank you for sharing him with us, will miss him.
Dear Janet and Family. Our thoughts are with you and your family at this time. You and Les have become very special to us over the later part of your life. I wish we could have known you so much sooner. Les's family was so very dear to him. Janet you were the love of his life and it was very clear from the first time we met. His children and grandchildren were dear to his heart. His parents and in-laws also. It was so awesome to see his paint by numbers. With tiny tiny little numbers but he painted them with such precision and accuracy. They we absolutely beautiful. For as long as I was your neighbour and visited you it was so great to see the attachment he had with Banjo (your dog). He loved Banjo so much. We must not forget that he was well in his 80's before he chose to leave his job at Walmart and he treated it more like hobby than a job. He never showed his age. As he stocked the shelves he would often have elderly women ask him to get something off of the top shelf. Les would gladly get on the ladder and get it for them. I loved to hear about his family as he reminisced of days gone by. It was clear to see that he loved life and family and friends to the fullest. He will be greatly missed.
My sincere sympathy to Janet & the entire family. Les will certainly be missed. I remember Les working at Woodward's grocery store & Walmart. He took the time to chat. He was a very hard worker.
