Our deepest sympathy and continued condolences to both family and friends. We know no matter how much time has passed a day, month or years you think of your loved one and the feeling of loss is there again. You reminisce of days gone by and recall others lost. Yet you can take comfort in the thought behind Ecclesiastes 7:7 where it says "A good name is better than good oil, and the day of death is better than the day of birth." The Bible expresses this because at the time of death one has proven to be what they are. They have made a name or reputation for themselves. Unlike their birth when their life is just beginning and no one knows what they will be. You can then understand why the Bible's wisdom encourages one to think and make a "good name" for themselves during their lifetime. And is this not true for your loved one? So you can take comfort in knowing your loved one, Lawana, did just that. You can look forward to the hope at Job 14:14,15 where the question is asked "If a man dies can he live again?" Vs 15 answers it with the words saying God "..will call.." and he (those now gone) "would answer." Just as Jesus did with Lazarus ..he called "Lazarus come out!", and Lazarus answered by coming out alive and well (John 11:43,44; 11:11-14). This was repeated by both Jesus and the apostles with others they resurrected. (Acts 9:36-42; Luke7:12,14-15; Luke8:49-55) So take comfort in knowing that God cares about your hurt and is there willing to help you through this now and whenever you have a need. He has also given you a further hope firmly established in the Bible taking care to have it written over and over again so you, the friends and family without a doubt know it can and will be. Therefore please read the scriptures in your personal Bible or online any day or time at jw.org and gain strength, hope and faith through its words. Sincerely,

A Caring Neighbor, December 16, 2015
