I worked with Bill for several years at Western Canada Welding. He came across as a man with a gruff exterior but it wasn't long before he showed the marshmallow side of him. He had a blind dog at the time that he always took great care of, providing a blanket for him close to his workbench and taking him in his green pickup on customer visits. Bill was a wonderful mentor to many and I have thought of him often over the years. I know he will be deeply missed.
